A scratch built model of the warship HMS Fame which was an F-class destroyer built for the Royal Navy during the 1930s. She saw action in 1935-36 during the Abyssinia Crisis and also spent time in Spanish waters enforcing the arms blockade during the Spanish Civil War of 1936-39. HMS Fame also saw active combat during WW2 and was assigned to escort duties in the North Atlantic in 1942. The ship was launched in 1934 and was finally scrapped in 1968 after spending time as the Generalissimo for the Dominican Republic Navy.

Difficult to put age on this but looks like it was made in the late 1940s/50s by someone who obviously had links to HMS Fame. This would look great in any home or home office, as the ship has a fantastic history it is of interest to any collector of WW2 memorabilia or anyone who appreciates scratch built models.
